Make the world safer, snitch on your neighbor.

In the aftermath of Boston, Newtown, Aurora, Virginia Tech., etc.. There has been quite the rally call for change. Change gun laws, More gun Laws, overhaul the mental health system, the immigration system…. Background checks of every shape and size should be implemented… more cameras to watch for all the would be bad guys…. This and more to protect us from whoever and whatever from wherever whenever..

Yet it simply isn’t enough…. Because what we really need is a country that is willing and able to rat on each other at a moments notice.

Behold..

http://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/news/news/state-regional-govt-politics/bradshaw-gets-1-million-for-violence-prevention-un/nXbs4/

If you take some time to read the link above.. and don’t throw up at the asinine logic that’s being shoveled higher than pig shit in barter town, you will catch a key quote

“We want people to call us if the guy down the street says he hates the government, hates the mayor and he’s gonna shoot him,” Bradshaw said. “What does it hurt to have somebody knock on a door and ask, ‘Hey, is everything OK?’ ”
Now, preceding this delightful comment that basically says to people far and wide to drop a call to the “Crazy Neighbor Hotline”because they hate the A-hole living next to them because.. you know.. they listen to that awful music and has that political bumper sticker and never puts his trash can back fast enough from the curb and puts up all those holiday lights and …..

There was this quote

“Every single incident, whether it’s Newtown, that movie theater, or the guy who spouts off at work and then goes home and kills his wife and two kids — in every single case, there were people who said they knew ahead of time that there was a problem,” Bradshaw said. “If the neighbor of the mom in Newtown had called somebody, this might have saved 25 kids’ lives.”
So… Yep, you read it right..

IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!!

All these horrible tragedies could have been avoided.. BUT YOU DIDNT SPEAK UP…YOU ARE WHY ITY ALLL HAPPENED..

And here is where I call Bullshit.

I do not argue the merits of “See Something Say Something” or that there are glaring failures in our Mental Health System. Nor do I disagree with the notion of some background checks are of immense value.

But its not your fault and sure as hell ain’t my fault, that these Crazy, Evil, Psychopathic cancers of human beings.. committed atrocities so unimaginable I cant wrap my head around it.

It was them..

Call evil , evil, cause that’s what it is .. watch for when it might show, do something when you can and hold close to the ones that matter..

And unless he’s jihaded up in a trench coat and with a flight manual under one arm and a pressure cooker under the other.. leave the A-hole neighbor alone, and let him do the same to you.

Or maybe.. you might just walk up say hello and offer him a cold one..

What is the worst that could happen.

  1. Well I pretty much agree with your post Sam. This sort of thing is reminiscent of the Salem witch trials. If what I see in the media represents the real paranoia present in the US, people will be burning up this hotline with bullshit. This hotline idea is a waste of money and won’t help a bit. It is grasping at straws with little thought being put into it. Panic mode.
I don’t think people know things ahead of time with the shootings, bombings etc. Once it happens, it’s like ‘oh yeah..I knew something was weird about that guy!’… All ex post facto.
This slippery slope of paranoid self destruction is what the terrorist organizations have had in mind all along, not to mention the countries supporting them.
Bottom line, who in the hell knows what turns somebody into a murderer? We may never know, but I think we know what a quick click to fascism (or something worse) looks like. It starts with shit like this.

  2. I tried to do indentations, but now I see why you put a space between paragraphs. Oh well, I hope it makes sense.
