Lets start this merry old rant off with panache shall we, and take a look at the fourth amendment…
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
As I surfed the Ether this lackadaisical Morn, I came upon the sudden and shocking notification that I had been Violated without even knowing it. (Sadly not the first time in that regard) It seems that the National Security agency had indeed lived up to its name and secured, nationally the Phone records of hundreds of millions of people.
Why .. Well the need to violate our freedoms to keep us free.
What.. the F^&K!?
Here is the story.
And Here is am Excerpt of the Court Order.
“This Court having found that the Application of the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) for an Order requiring the production of tangible things from
Verizon Business Network Services, Inc. on behalf of MCI Communication Services
Inc., d/b/a Verizon Business Services (individually and collectively “Verizon”)
satisfies the requirements of 50 U.S.C. ? 1861,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that, the Custodian of Records shall produce to the
National Security Agency (NSA) upon service of this Order, and continue productionon an ongoing daily basis thereafter for the duration of this Order, unless otherwise
ordered by the Court, an electronic copy of the following tangible things: all call detail
records or “telephony metadata” created by Verizon for communications (i) between
the United States and abroad; or (ii) wholly within the United States, including local
telephone calls. This Order does not require Verizon to produce telephony metadata
for communications wholly originating and terminating in foreign countries.
Telephony metadata includes comprehensive communications routing information,.
including but not limited to session identifying information (e.g., originating and
terminating telephone number, International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number,
International Mobile station Equipment Identity (IMEI) number, etc.), trunk identifier,
telephone calling card numbers, and time and duration of call. Telephony metadata
does not include the substantive content of any communication, as defined by 18 U.S.C.
? 2510(8), or the name, address, or financial information of a subscriber or customer.”
Now, Let me see if I can get this lumpy ole Mellon of mine to understand this. The NSA is collecting ALL OF THE DATA From all of the Verizon Customers, as a means to .. what? ..
*There is no “global war on Terror” Al Qaida is defeated, right.?? And there is NO chance that any of this data would be used for political purposes RIGHT??
(*) Said in a screechy sarcastic bit of an A-hole Voice.
Now maybe its just me… But the above mentioned fourth amendment.(you know, from that obsolete thing called the constitution, it sooo gets in the way anymore) seems to be a bit of problem as things so, Specifically this part.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated
Its a bit of Dark Irony, that the administration Stalwartly upholds the constitutional rights for the Shit Stain of the century, Maj. Nidal Hasan (you know that WORKPLACE violence Guy) to defend himself in his murder trial for the thirteen he killed and the attempted murder of thirty in the Fort Hood Shooting, (Which Will no doubt give him a nice Jihad soapbox to spread hate from, and bring further pain and suffering on the victims and their surviving families) But they will throw yours and my constitutional rights in the crapper like a used prophylactic.
Which is fitting, if you think about it, as we are definitely the one getting screwed.
